Callenor is a long time partner of some truly outstanding non-profit organizations. From our local participation with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, to our sponsorship of Well Aware who brings clean water to East Africa, it is all thanks to our partnership with you, our customers.
Our friends down under also manufacture paper tubes and believe strongly in community service. One way they contribute is by helping new immigrants to Australia with their initial employment. Operated by a USMC officer (active reserves), he uses PG Initiatives to continue the kind of dedicated service the corps instilled in him. Callenor and PG Initiatives have an employee exchange program – we are proud to partner with them.
Also founded by former Marine(s), this volunteer organization provides a variety of disaster relief services, across the United States and around the world. They even respond immediately when other relief organizations are unable to help – due to dangerous and/or unstable conditions. Like many others, we are monthly sponsors. Our customers’ support allows us to support them in their critical work.
Another of our monthly contributions is to this outstanding organization. They drill wells in East Africa to provide sustainable clean water, which helps curtail disease. The great work they do is a model for whom to sponsor.
The MDA organization is the largest source of funding for muscular dystrophy, ALS and other related neuromuscular diseases, other than the Federal government. For many years, Callenor has been a sponsor of MDA’s annual “Black and Blue Ball”. This event raises money for research, treatment and sending children with these diseases to summer camps, specifically designed for their needs and fun. It is a bit selfish to work with these folks: we meet the kids, bid on their artwork, take them for motorcycle sidecar rides – all truly rewarding. It has become a central part of our company and values.
